About the wine:
Aromatic Pinot Gris with the fleshy stone fruits of an Alsatian Gris and the honeyed minerality of an Italian Grigio. From the Hawkes Bay, perfectly ripened fruit is handled carefully to preserve the delicate aromas, fruit purity and freshness.
Elderflower, white peach and pear are complemented by subtle fermentation characters of honeysuckle and lemon curd. Following fermentation, some time on yeast lees builds texture. The resulting fullness is lifted by crisp acidity that is in turn softened by a touch of residual sweetness - a harmonious balance.
This is cool climate Pinot Gris at its best with many facets and shows that purists need not always be conformists
