About the range:
We wanted to create a range of wine that showcases the best wine regions in the country, but also captures the pioneering spirit of New Zealand wine — the search for something new and interesting.
So, we decided that our wine range should evolve with the seasons, allowing you to discover something different each time you visit.
About the wine:
A modern expression of Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay, this wine draws depth from the free‑draining soils of the Gimblett Gravels and Crownthorpe, opening with aromas of biscotti, toasted hazelnut, preserved peach and almond essence, lifted by a refined flinty edge.
The palate is generous yet poised, weaving citrus rind and nectarine with layers of buttercream, vanilla panna cotta, shortbread and savoury cashew and spice.
Eleven months in barrel with regular lees stirring has built a creamy, buttery texture that will develop a subtle oiliness over time, while reductive butterscotch notes add gentle sweetness to balance the fresh acidity.
Complex, textural and elegantly structured, it lingers with impressive length and continues to evolve in both glass and bottle.
